Welcome to the shire's web-page. We are part of the Society for Creative Anachronism , an international non-profit group which aims at having fun while researching and sharing practical elements of the Middle Ages (officially, "pre-17th century Western culture"-- but don't be surprised to see Romans, Samurai, Aztecs, and Musketeers; generally, anyone who had any contact with Europeans before about 1625). Sigelhundas, the SCA name for Regina, is a rough translation of `Sun Dogs' into Old English, an image which we've incorporated into the shire's heraldry shown above. Sigelhundas is located in Avacal which consists of Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the eastern parts of British Columbia. Avacal is a principality of of the kingdom of An Tir.
